Hi Kate and welcome to our forums.

We are in the main a UK based membership which deals mainly with European Timeshare but our free guides are universal and cover most topics on how to get best use out of your timeshare wherever it is in the world. We concentrate on trying to help people make the best use of what they have bought in to but we are by no means prevented from criticising and highlighting the many faults that we see in timeshare. However we much prefer to show users that despite timeshares faults it is usually possible to get great value and enjoyment from the products despite the stupidly frustrating policies that some developers inflict upon us in their search for more and more profits.

Research shows that you hold a McDonalds timeshare. The company you hold your timeshare with are not members of RDO and so there are very few constraints as the what the company can or cannot do. A while ago they changed the contracts in order to take a greater control of the business which in the opinion of many has had a detrimental effect on the rights of their consumers. This was brought about with the help and intervention of Harry Taylor, CEO of TATOC who unilaterally got involved in recommending the contract changes to consumers describing it as a ground breaking move forward. The said Mr Taylor was discredited for this and other poor decisions and the organisation he fronted was taken to court and as the charges brought against TATOC were his responsibility and under his watch he was charged to appear in court to answer to those charges. Instead of doing so it is alleged that he failed to appear and he put the organisation into administration.

How do we come to know all this? One of our moderators (mavo) was on the board at TATOC and before resigning his position was the only board member to question and vigorously oppose the activities of the TATOC CEO Harry Taylor.
